Russia Prepares for Large-Scale Offensive

Russian President Vladimir Putin is preparing for a new, major offensive that could commence in February or March 2023, according to a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

The ISW's forecasts suggest that the Kremlin has planned a major operation for the next six months, likely in the Luhansk region. Experts indicate that recent Russian ground assaults in Zaporizhzhia may be aimed at distracting Ukrainian forces and laying the groundwork for an offensive in Luhansk.
