Cars Collide with Trees in Ijevan, Injuries Reported

On September 23, at 23:44, the crisis management center of the Tavush regional rescue service received reports of a traffic accident on Independence Street in Ijevan. It was indicated that there were injured individuals and that assistance from rescuers was needed.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia informed NEWS.am that a team from the regional rescue service's firefighting unit was dispatched to the scene.

It was revealed that near one of the buildings on Independence Street, Mercedes-Benz and Vaz vehicles had gone off the roadway and collided with trees. Before rescuers arrived, three injured individuals were transported to a medical center by local forces.

The rescuers managed to extract the driver of the Vaz vehicle from the car and brought him to the ambulance; he was later hospitalized.
