Alik Hayrapetyan Demands Nude Photos from Relatives of 102 Missing Women Pretending to Be an Azerbaijani Soldier

The case against Alik Hayrapetyan is being heard in the court of Syunik Province. After the 44-day war, he searched for and found the female relatives of missing servicemen on social media, posing as an Azerbaijani soldier, providing false information to them, and demanding and exploiting sexual and explicit photos. He also threatened to kill their relatives held captive if they refused to comply.

Hayrapetyan found 102 relatives on social media, some of whom believed him as he changed his profile name to Aziz Muradov. He engaged in correspondence with the relatives, claiming that their missing servicemen were in Azerbaijani correctional institutions, with whom he could organize video calls, asserting that he was in contact with them.

In exchange for this information, he demanded nude photos displaying their genitalia and threatened to kill their relatives if they did not comply. According to the indictment, those who believed Hayrapetyan received false promises that he would organize phone calls with the captured servicemen and send their photos. He sent altered images, placing the faces of the missing servicemen onto them, and took advantage of the trust placed in him by those he corresponded with.

He subsequently demanded and coerced them into performing other sexual acts and providing services, namely by sending him photos and videos displaying their genitalia via social networks, threatening to carry out acts of violent violence against their relatives held captive in case of refusal. There are 16 victims in this case. Alik Hayrapetyan is charged with human trafficking or exploitation, trafficking or exploitation involving a minor, or a person unable to realize or manage the nature and significance of their act due to mental disorder. He has not previously been convicted, and he has been remanded in custody.
