Armenia Responds to Hybrid Threats and Large Scale Information Manipulations: Kocharyan

Armenia highly values cooperation with NATO, viewing it not only as official engagement but also as a platform for systemic reforms that strengthen our country’s independence and institutional resilience. Today, during the opening speech of the 108th Rose-Roth seminar themed ‘Armenia and the South Caucasus in a Changing World: Strengthening Democracy and Regional Security,’ the Chairman of the National Assembly Defense and Security Committee, Andranik Kocharyan, stated.

‘Our cooperation is based on universal values of democracy, security, human rights protection, and the rule of law... These relations acquire particular importance in today’s multipolar, unpredictable, and often unstable world, becoming a crucial pillar for security and sustainable development,’ said Kocharyan.

According to him, in particular, the systematic efforts aimed at strengthening internal resilience are gaining significant importance today as Armenia confronts hybrid threats and a large volume of disinformation and information manipulations. Kocharyan noted that the volume of this disinformation aims to weaken public trust in democratic institutions, manipulate public sentiments, and undermine state policy.
