Phishing Attacks on Facebook and Instagram, Reports Ministry of Internal Affairs
If you have received a notification purportedly from the administration of Facebook or Instagram regarding a violation of site rules, or about the reactivation of your personal account that asks you to provide your username and password through a sent link to resolve the issues, do not trust it. This has been communicated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Criminals are actually creating phishing sites that mimic social networks to gain access to your account, deprive you of access, and subsequently carry out other criminal activities such as extortion, fraud, and more.
Remember that official notifications from Facebook and Instagram will never require you to enter your username or password on suspicious website links.
