Pashinyan Seems to Think He's the Architect of Real Armenia, But He's Mistaken: Galstyan

MP Lilit Galstyan writes: "I was compelled to read the delirious 'Aesthetics of Real Armenia...' If it weren't for the mention of Armenia in the text, one might think it was a collection of North Korean directives.

The delusional exercise presented as a concept on the government's official website resembles a satirical article at best, but it is not a legal act. But why am I surprised? If during a government meeting, the National Security Service can be instructed to catch a devil, why wouldn’t they make public 'convictions' worthy of George Orwell’s pen?

Nevertheless, there was one self-revelatory and truthful passage in that text: 'The dissemination of specific forms of aesthetics has also ensured a more controllable society. In this way, it guaranteed the constant control of the political elite by limiting the mental searches of citizens, creating a society where high values or demands for a more just and educated political system do not flourish.' This is the purpose of that delirium: to have a controllable society, to erase our identity, and to form a 'true, Pashinyan identity.'

Pashinyan seems to believe that he is the architect of the real Armenia as envisioned in his text, but he is mistaken. The architects are Erdogan and Aliyev; he is a servant, a subordinate of a defeated and humiliated psychological construct. And beneath the 'aesthetics' delusion lies censorship and the violation of free thought.

If there are political prisoners in Armenia, it is logical that there will also be prisoners of free thought, conscience, and aesthetics. The works of Erasmus of Rotterdam's 'Praise of Folly' and Orwell's 'Animal Farm' are more relevant than ever... This too shall pass..."
