Lukashenko to Grant Amnesty to 123 Foreign Nationals Arrested in Belarus

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has decided to grant amnesty to 123 citizens from various countries who have been convicted under Belarusian law for various offenses, including espionage, terrorism, and extremism.

It has been reported that this decision was made within the framework of agreements reached with U.S. President Donald Trump at his request, in connection with the lifting of sanctions imposed by the administration of former U.S. President Joe Biden against the Belarusian potassium industry.

According to the channel, taking into account the decisions made by the President of Belarus at the end of November, the total number of those granted amnesty has reached 156. Among them are citizens from Great Britain, the United States, Lithuania, Ukraine, Latvia, Australia, and Japan.

It was also previously reported about the release of opposition figure Maria Kolesnikova.
