This Clearly Poses a Threat to Russia: Putin on Ukraine's NATO Membership
Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) poses a threat to Russia's security. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during an interview on the "Rossiya-24" television channel.
"As for Ukraine's accession to NATO, we have repeatedly said that it clearly poses a threat to Russia's security," he said, adding, "And, in fact, one of the reasons for the special military operation is the threat of Ukraine's membership in NATO," said Vladimir Putin.
"I am confident that NATO membership will not enhance Ukraine's own security, and will, in general, make the world much more vulnerable and lead to increased tensions on the international stage," the President of the country added.
