Head of Azerbaijani Community in Russia Stripped of Citizenship
The President of the National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijani People in Moscow, Bahtiyar Hasanov, has been stripped of his Russian citizenship.
The Azerbaijani community leader's Russian passport has been declared invalid. He obtained Russian citizenship in the 2000s.
According to a source from Readovka, the basis for the revocation of Hasanov's citizenship is his long-term connections with shadow schemes, including the concealment of illegal immigration, fraud, and the creation of conflicts based on ethnic grounds.
It should be noted that Bahtiyar Hasanov was elected president of the National Cultural Autonomy Association of Azerbaijanis in Moscow in 2022. A Russian Telegram channel emphasizes that Hasanov has repeatedly expressed support for Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
