What Third President's Associates Discussed: 'Hraparak'
The parliamentary faction of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) held discussions on September 26 regarding practical pathways for a change of power and the agenda for consolidation around them. The associates of former President Serzh Sargsyan see the resolution of the internal political situation through the avenue of impeachment against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. However, they have decided to broaden the agenda and title of these discussions, not limiting the conversation solely to impeachment, but also addressing the internal political situation and potential resolutions, so as not to strain relations with parliamentary opposition partners. This was reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak'.
Members of the 'Honorary' faction believe that there is still an opportunity to reach a common understanding with the 'Armenia' faction and implement processes jointly. It remains unclear how the discussions will progress and whether partners will participate in them.
Those initiating the discussions will invite parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition forces, representatives of civil society, intellectuals, and influential figures in public opinion.
