Jerusalem belongs to Israel and will always belong to Israel. This statement was made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu's remarks were addressed to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who hinted in 2020 that Jerusalem belongs to Turkey due to its historical connection during the Ottoman Empire.

"This is our city, Mr. Erdogan. This is not your city; this is our city. It will always be our city. It will no longer be divided," Netanyahu stated.
