VIDEO: Armenia Will Never Purchase Used Weapons Again, Says Kocharyan

The Republic of Armenia will never acquire used weapons again; everything will be new, announced Andranik Kocharyan, the head of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Defense and Security, during the discussion of the 2024 state budget in the National Assembly today.

"The main idea behind the armament is as follows: in addition to being defensive, they must be new," he emphasized. In response to a question from Mr. Arthur Khachatryan about whether the weapons are old or new, the reporter clearly stated that they should be new. "Armenia will never procure used defensive weapons. And we will rigorously implement this directive. The work done over the last 26 years in various sections of the front line has been executed in such volume and quality that if we had it, we could confidently say that the dividing line of the 44-day war would have passed through a completely different area," Kocharyan noted.
