OSCE Begins Process of Dissolution of Minsk Group, Says Sandel

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has initiated the process of dissolving the Minsk Group and its related institutions, according to Toni Sandel, Deputy Head of the Working Group on Finland's Presidency at the OSCE.

“The Secretariat of the organization has already begun practical steps to implement the decision made by the OSCE Permanent Council on September 1, in response to requests from Azerbaijan and Armenia. The Secretariat is taking measures to close the Minsk Process and its associated structures,” the official stated.

According to him, the process is expected to be completed no later than December 1 of this year.

The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan had signed a joint application for the dissolution of the Minsk Group on August 8, 2025, in Washington.
