Artsakh President Sues Armenian Ministry of Education and Science

Lawyer Roman Yeritsyan has announced on his Facebook page the details of a lawsuit filed on behalf of the President of Artsakh against the Armenian Ministry of Education and Science and the author of the 9th-grade history textbook, Nzhdeh Hovsepyan.

The lawsuit accuses the authors of the 9th-grade "History of Armenia" textbook, the Ministry of Education and Science, and other responsible individuals of containing defamatory information about the President in the book. Specifically, it is stated in the chapter about the depopulation of Nagorno-Karabakh that Samvel Shahramanyan allegedly signed a dissolution document.

A motion for interim relief has been submitted, in which the President's representative requests a ban on teaching the corresponding subtitle of the 9th-grade history textbook to be published in 2025 in all schools of Armenia until the court's decision becomes effective.
