Armenia Will Not Participate in the 'Slavonic Bazaar' International Competition in Belarus
In light of the announcement by the Prime Minister of Armenia regarding the suspension of official relations between Armenia and Belarus, the Armenian official delegation has decided not to travel to Belarus and to refrain from participating in the prestigious annual international competition 'Slavonic Bazaar 2024', which will take place from July 8 to 18 this year, as reported by the Charles Aznavour State College of Culture and Arts in Yerevan.
"All peoples of the world are united by one language—culture—therefore, it is impossible not to appreciate the cultural relations between Armenia and Belarus that have been developed over the years. We are hopeful that the current political impasse will have a resolution through love and harmony in the near future, and that friendly relations between the two peoples will continue," the statement said.
This year, representatives of Armenia at the 'Slavonic Bazaar' competition included the award-winning singer Syuzanna Melkonyan and 9-year-old Yana Stepanyan.
