Economic Sanctions Against Israel Needed, Says Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Israel will continue its actions in the region, hence economic sanctions are necessary against the country. According to him, the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation have this opportunity.

“We must intensify our efforts to tighten sanctions against Israel. We should use international legal mechanisms to hold Israeli officials accountable. Israel will not stop its actions without a decisive response and sanctions; rather, it will only accelerate its occupation and destabilization policies. We need to expand our cooperation now to achieve victory in the next 10 years,” Erdogan said at the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League held in Doha, as reported by TASS.
