Japan to Provide Ukraine with a $246.5 Million Loan
Japan is set to provide Ukraine with a loan of $246.5 million, as reported by RIA Novosti. According to the data published on the ministry's website, Ukraine has signed a corresponding agreement with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and Kiev will receive funds under the 'Support for Recovery through Sustainable Financial Management' (SURGE) program.
'Ukraine will receive more than $246 million from Japan under the World Bank's financial management support project,' the ministry's materials state.
According to RIA Novosti, Ukraine, facing a record budget deficit of $43.9 billion for 2024, continues to rely on the support of international partners to cover a significant portion of its financial needs.
