JAMnews: Resigning MP Had Plans
According to "JAMnews," it has come to light that the decision by Edgar Arakelyan, an MP from the "My Step" faction, to resign from his parliamentary mandate has deep roots. Specifically, the faction recently uncovered that Arakelyan had a plan. He convinced 9 other MPs to leave the faction, seek independence, and create a new group in the National Assembly. According to the same sources, this independent parliamentary group was supposed to be led by one of the opposition MPs who also intended to leave the faction.
Members of the "My Step" faction learned about all of this and demanded Arakelyan resign from his mandate and leave. He was subsequently forced to give up his mandate.
Yesterday, regarding these issues, "JAMnews" first spoke with Hakob Simidian, the secretary of the "My Step" faction, and then with Edgar Arakelyan, both of whom tried to deny the information we had.
