What Ruben Rubinyan and Serdar Kilic Discussed: Armenia's Foreign Ministry Provides Details

The special representatives of Armenia and Turkey, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan and Ambassador Serdar Kilic, held their sixth meeting in Yerevan. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

During this meeting, the special representatives reaffirmed the issues elaborated and agreed upon during previous meetings in order to promote the full normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey. In this context, they exchanged views on the implementation of the agreement on border adjustments reached during their meeting on July 1, 2022. The special representatives agreed to expedite this process.

They also agreed that the relevant bodies of both countries would conduct the necessary technical studies for the restoration and operation of the Gyumri–Kars railway and power transmission line.

Furthermore, they agreed to make efforts to strengthen cooperation in the fields of culture and academia, particularly by creating scholarship opportunities for students at higher educational institutions and through joint restoration of the historical Ani/Silk Road bridge.

Additionally, the representatives agreed to carry out necessary work aimed at enabling various interested companies to operate flights in different directions starting from the summer of 2026, which would increase the number of air routes and flights between the two countries.

In conclusion, the special representatives reaffirmed their commitment to continue this process without any preconditions.
