David Sanasaryan Continues to 'Calm the Storms': 'Iravunk'

According to the 'Iravunk' newspaper, the head of the State Audit Office, David Sanasaryan, known for 'resolving' the situation in the village of Zartonq in the Armavir region, may have prompted the village mayor Paruyr Sargsyan to submit his resignation letter.

This is not the first time Sanasaryan has been dispatched to a problematic community. After his visits, mayors often resign. This was also the case in the Urtsadzor community, where the mayor Rafik Andrasyan, who resigned after the new elections, was re-elected. However, the situation in the village did not change, and instead of addressing the issues, organizing new elections resulted in a loss of over 3 million drams for the state budget.

Sanasyan's visit to Zartonq has stirred concern among many, including political scientists, representatives of the public sector, and former officials. The presence of the head of the State Audit Office surprised and irritated them. It is worth reminding that Sanasaryan previously 'calmed the storms' in Urtsadzor this summer, but since everyone was under the influence of euphoria or held an official position, they did not notice, while we—those who did notice—were branded as 'anti-revolutionary.'

Those of us concerned about properly and effectively governing the country raised our voices about various detrimental manifestations and were again met with reprimand. Today, however, political scientists and individual figures who emerged as strong revolutionaries after the change of power are admitting that what happened in April and May was not a revolution, but rather a change of power.
