It is said that Lavrov even noticed that of the 161 ambassadors operating in Moscow, Harutyunyan is the only one with a bodyguard: "Hraparak"
According to the newspaper "Hraparak," "The Armenian Ambassador to Russia, Vagharchak Harutyunyan, goes everywhere accompanied by bodyguards. Even when visiting Russian governmental institutions, he brings his bodyguards along, which has surprised Russian officials.
Vagharchak Harutyunyan has even introduced a new position—a bodyguard-assistant, which is held by the ambassador's nephew. The bodyguards sit in the ambassador's reception area. It is said that Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov has even noticed that of the 161 ambassadors operating in Moscow, Harutyunyan is the only one with a bodyguard.
The ambassador in Russia is cautious about everything. His visitors leave their phones outside when entering his office, entering without a mobile phone. These details are reported from the corridors of the Armenian embassy.
The Foreign Ministry of Armenia denies our information regarding the ambassador's bodyguard entourage. There is also a discussion among the staff regarding the expected increase in the embassy's funding. It is possible that additional funds will be used to renew the embassy's vehicle fleet. Incidentally, recently Armenians living in Moscow have noticed that red diplomatic license plates have been issued to some Armenian businessmen residing in Russia.
In order to verify our information, we sent a written request to the Foreign Ministry, from which we have recently been receiving only two words in response to our inquiries: "Not true." We will present the denials of the latest inquiries as soon as we receive them."
