Narek Mkrtchyan's Brother Arrested, Criminal Proceedings Initiated
Narek Mkrtchyan's brother has been arrested, and criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding the incident.
In response to a query from 24News, the Investigative Committee stated that the criminal proceedings were initiated under Article 335, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (illegal circulation of weapons, their essential components, military ammunition, and other materials, devices, objects), Article 393, Part 1 (illegal circulation of drugs, psychotropic substances, their preparations, or equivalent substances for the purpose of selling or illegally selling them), and Article 396, Part 1 (illegal circulation of drugs, psychotropic substances, their preparations, or equivalent substances, or precursors without the intention of selling).
One person has been arrested. An investigation is underway.
It should be noted that last night, police detained Mkrtich Mkrtchyan, brother of the newly appointed ambassador of Armenia to the USA, Narek Mkrtchyan, on suspicion of drug possession and illegal weapons.
