Vanyetzyan Cancels His Trip to the U.S. as Part of the National Assembly Delegation: What is the Reason?

Arthur Vanyetzyan, the leader of the 'I Have Honor' faction in the National Assembly of Armenia, has canceled his working trip to the United States as part of the Armenian parliamentary delegation. This was announced by his spokesperson Sos Hakobyan on his Facebook page.

It is noted that the reason for this decision is the ruling party's decision to limit the opposition representative's participation in a crucial working meeting scheduled in Washington. 'A few hours before the trip, Arthur Vanyetzyan was informed that there would be three representatives attending the meeting with Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, and a decision was made to exclude Vanyetzyan from this group. Essentially, the authorities have decided that there is no need for an opposition representative at the meeting, and the Armenian side will be represented by the Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, head of the 'Civil Contract' faction Hayk Konjoryan, and the Armenian Ambassador to the U.S. Lilith Makunts,' the spokesperson wrote.

In response, Arthur Vanyetzyan stated that under these circumstances, he does not find it appropriate to proceed with his trip to the U.S. and has canceled his visit.
