Fire Extinguished in Arzakan Village on Fourth Day
Firefighters have successfully extinguished the fire that broke out in Arzakan village, preventing its spread to nearby houses. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
It was noted that the fire was isolated on September 1 at 06:55 AM and was fully extinguished on September 3 at 18:26 PM. Vegetation was burned in the incident.
Recall that on August 31 at 10:44 AM, the crisis management center of the Kotayk regional emergency department received a report that vegetation was burning in the mountains adjacent to Arzakan village. Firefighting units, operational groups, and water carriers were dispatched to the scene.
About 100 rescuers from the emergency departments of Yerevan city and the regional rescue department participated in the firefighting efforts, along with staff from the Armenian-Russian Humanitarian Response Center, eco-patrol service, forestry workers, and residents of Arzakan village.
