Ambulance Crew Attacked with Knife Threats and Insults: Police Provide Details
On January 16, at 3:40 AM, the driver of an ambulance called the operational management center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, reporting that they had responded to a call at one of the buildings on Gurgen Mahari Street in the Vardashen district, where they were attacked with a knife. The driver stated they had fled the scene.
This information has been confirmed by the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Officers from the 3rd division of the patrol service of the Yerevan garrison responded to the reported location.
It was determined that the two sons of the patient had threatened the ambulance crew with a knife and hurled insults at them. The patrol officers arrested the 34-year-old and 38-year-old suspects on charges of threatening murder and transferred them to the Erebuni police department. The prepared documents have been submitted to the investigative division, and a criminal proceeding has been initiated.
It is worth noting that this is not the first incident involving ambulance doctors, highlighting ongoing concerns for their safety.
