Fiancée of Armenian Youth Who Drowned in Kobuleti Shares Statement
In the Georgian city of Kobuleti, there were no rescuers present when a 24-year-old Armenian youth drowned. This was reported by Sergey Hakobyan's fiancée, Ariana Grigoryan, in a Facebook post.
“I am Ariana Grigoryan, the fiancée of 24-year-old Sergey Hakobyan. I want everyone to stop spreading false information. No one saved me—I got out of the water myself. Moreover, I jumped back into the water to try to save him as well. When we entered the water, the waves were not so strong; they intensified suddenly. At that moment, there were no rescuers nearby to help us; they arrived late. My request and plea is to stop the spread of false information,” Ariana Grigoryan wrote.
It should be noted that a video was circulated on Georgian platforms the day before, stating that an Armenian man had drowned in Kobuleti. It turned out that the individual who drowned was 24-year-old Sergey Hakobyan from the village of Garni in the Kotayk region.
