The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that aid deliveries to Gaza have decreased over the past two weeks, and medical supplies have not reached the region. “One million children in Gaza are at risk of entering the 5th phase of malnutrition. Half a million people are facing real starvation,” the statement said.
Health sources in Gaza have reported that since dawn on August 27, 26 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces. Around 80 Palestinians were wounded during an attack by Israel on the city of Nablus in the West Bank.
On the other hand, the Israeli army has stated that the evacuation of Gaza City is inevitable, and every family moving south will receive humanitarian assistance. The Gaza Ministry of Health has indicated that since the Israeli attacks began on October 7, 2023, the number of Palestinians killed has reached 62,895, with 158,927 injured, a significant number of whom are women and children.
Israel launched military operations in the Gaza Strip in response to an incursion by militants from the Palestinian Hamas movement, which resulted in nearly 1,200 fatalities and around 250 people taken hostage.
