Decision Made on Ground Operation in Gaza: Israeli Ambassador in Russia
The Israeli Ambassador to Russia, Alexander BenTzvi, has announced that Israel has decided to commence a ground operation in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by TASS.
“I would say that a decision has been made. It is connected to the execution of our objectives, which we have already discussed. This includes the elimination of all terrorist structures of Hamas and the release of hostages. Therefore, it is impossible to achieve this without the use of ground operations. For this reason, it can be said that such a decision has been made,” said the diplomat.
At the same time, BenTzvi did not specify the possible timeframe for the start of the ground operation. “We must not forget that we have more than 1,400 dead; we must stop all this, we must resolve it,” the ambassador noted.
It should be recalled that earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant had announced that an order would soon be issued to begin a ground operation in the Gaza Strip.
