US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Special Envoy for Middle East Affairs Steve Witkoff are expected to lead the US delegation at the meeting on Ukraine in Saudi Arabia, Bloomberg reports citing sources.

“The negotiations in Saudi Arabia are expected to be led by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff,” the publication states.

According to the agency, Saudi authorities have invited Russia, the US, and Ukraine to meet in Riyadh. Bloomberg emphasizes that the negotiations will be conducted by Saudi National Security Advisor Musaid bin Mohammed al-Aiban.

“And although Ukrainian officials will be present at the meeting, they too appear to be unaware of all the preparatory work,” the publication adds.

The agency notes that “most Europeans are still not informed.”

Trump announced on February 13 that senior representatives of Russia, Ukraine, and the United States will meet at the Munich Security Conference. Later, he stated that next week the US, Russia, and Ukraine will hold a high-level meeting in Saudi Arabia.
