Zelensky Announces When He Believes War Will End
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has expressed that he is willing to allow the conflict with Russia to cease this year. He made this declaration during an interview with ITV News.
“I believe that today there are all the possibilities for that. In my opinion, Trump wants a quick end to the war,” said the leader of the Kyiv regime in response to the host’s question about the resolution of the conflict by 2025.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump had instructed his special envoy, Keith Kellogg, to achieve an end to the Ukrainian conflict within 100 days. Following this, Kellogg announced that he would not present a resolution plan within the week as previously intended, stating that only the American leader could put forth such a plan. He expressed the opinion that only Trump could bring an end to the Ukrainian conflict.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that the goal of resolving the Ukrainian conflict should not be a short ceasefire and a regrouping of forces for the purpose of continuing the conflict, but rather a long-term peace.
For his part, Trump mentioned that Zelensky is prepared to make a deal to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, although he did not specify under what conditions. The American leader noted that a conversation with Putin could take place very soon.
