Israel Aims to Fully Neutralize Hamas
Israel does not intend to reduce the intensity of its strikes towards Gaza in light of the hostage releases. This was reported by the Russian service of BBC.
Israeli military officials have stated that they do not plan to decrease the intensity of airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, despite the release of two more hostages. Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi declared that the ongoing attacks are necessary to completely neutralize Hamas.
“We are conducting a war. I have seen that the forces on the ground are ready and prepared. We discuss complex issues here every evening. Political leadership and the IDF are having substantive discussions. For us, the only thing that matters is Israel's security,” he stated.
According to statements from the Gaza Health Ministry, which is controlled by Hamas, more than 5,000 people have been killed as a result of the Israeli military operation that began in response to the attacks by Palestinian militants on October 7.
