Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza to Become Mass Grave Without Electricity, CNN Reports
One of the largest hospitals in the Gaza Strip, Al-Shifa, will turn into a "mass grave" if there is no electricity, CNN reports, citing a physician working at the hospital. The information was relayed by RIA Novosti.
"The question is, will anything remain from the hospital when there is no electricity? And my answer is no. In fact, the hospital will become a mass grave if there is no electricity," the doctor stated to the channel.
It is reminded that on the morning of October 7, Israel was subjected to an unprecedented large-scale rocket attack as part of the Palestinian Hamas movement's declared operation, "Al-Aqsa Flood." Following that, militants from the organization invaded border areas in southern Israel.
In response, the Israel Defense Forces launched Operation "Iron Sabers" against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Within a few days, Israeli military forces have taken control of all villages near the Gaza border and have begun carrying out airstrikes on sites in the region, including civilian structures.
Israel has also announced a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip, halting supplies of water, food, electricity, medicine, and fuel. The death toll in the Gaza Strip has exceeded 5,000, with over 15,000 injured. In Israel, local authorities report that more than 1,300 people have died. According to various reports, around 150 Israelis may be held captive by Hamas. The movement has claimed that there are approximately 200-250 captives in the Gaza Strip.
