Photo: IDF Attempts to Encircle Gaza and Other Cities

A current map of the Israeli ground military operation in northern Gaza has been published. The map shows that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is attempting to encircle the city of Gaza, as well as the towns of Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahiya.

It is possible that the inhumane bombardments of the Jabalia refugee camp are related to this plan by the Israeli army. The capture of Jabalia holds strategic significance for the Israeli Defense Forces in sealing off the northern part of the Gaza Strip, and the advancement of the Israeli army is taking place near this camp.

Thus far, the Israeli Defense Forces have been avoiding urban combat as much as possible.
