Turkey on NATO's Collapse

NATO has exhausted its purpose, and Turkey's potential exit from the North Atlantic Alliance will determine its collapse. This was stated by former Turkish Air Force Colonel Ihsan Sefer, according to Ria Novosti.

Former US Army and Pentagon advisor Douglas Macgregor has previously asserted that the necessity for the aforementioned military-political alliance no longer exists. According to him, this 'evil organization' will disintegrate when Ankara withdraws from it.

It was reported earlier that Turkey may deploy troops in Ukraine outside of NATO's framework. It is noted that the republic changed its stance at the beginning of 2025 following Moscow's statements regarding the unacceptable presence of NATO forces.
