The Preliminary Detention of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan Extended
During a court session, Judge Karen Farkhoyan extended the preliminary detention of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan by 3 months.
“All the lawyers, the entire defense team is present here without any absences, but we have unanimously decided not to attend today’s court session. By this, we express our discontent against the judicial authority and the presiding judge, because the defense believes that justice will not be served today, and there is no court or judge established on the basis of the law,” said defense attorney Vahan Hovhannisyan.
It is reminded that the Investigative Committee announced that public criminal prosecutions have been initiated against 18 individuals who are leaders and participants of the movement, under Article 43-308, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (preparation for terrorism) and Article 43-419, Part 1 (preparation to seize power).
