Israel's Intent to Launch Major Attack in Gaza is Highly Concerning
The reports regarding Israel's anticipated new military operations in the Gaza Strip are extremely worrying. This was stated by Tamara al-Rifai, a spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“The news about a possible upcoming attack is obviously very concerning, as there is practically nothing left to destroy in Gaza. UN data indicate extensive destruction of residential buildings, agricultural lands, infrastructure, and medical facilities,” said al-Rifai.
It is worth noting that earlier, Israel's state broadcaster Kan reported that Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed plans for an operation to capture Gaza City. The Israel Defense Forces have sent approximately 60,000 notifications to reservists in preparation for the impending operation.
