Discussion on Ukraine Issue with NATO Military Leaders
The head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley, will hold talks regarding Ukraine with European military leaders, AFP reports. According to sources, senior military officials will discuss "the best options for a potential peace agreement." Earlier, it was reported that the heads of staff of NATO member countries will hold an online meeting on Wednesday, which will include Milley as well as NATO's commander in Europe, Gen. Alexus Greenkewich.
“Tomorrow, I will conduct a video conference with the chiefs of defense from the 32 member nations of the North Atlantic Alliance. General Greenkewich, the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, will also participate, marking his first attendance at a Military Committee meeting. As diplomatic efforts to ensure peace in Ukraine progress, I look forward to his briefing on the current security situation,” NATO Military Committee Chairman Giuseppe Cavo Dragone wrote on social media.
It has been reported that Greenkewich will, among other things, present the outcomes of the meeting held in Alaska between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
