Seismologists have recorded underground tremors near the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia, according to the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The tremor occurred at 2:52 UTC (5:52 Moscow time). The epicenter of the earthquake was located 472 kilometers away from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The depth was reported to be 18.4 km, with a magnitude of 5.3, as stated in the service's message on its Telegram channel regarding the earthquake.
