Sona Mnatsakanyan's Heir Has Not Received Any Compensation, Says Lawyer
The Armenian government has provided 670 million AMD to the heirs of the 10 citizens killed on March 1, 2008, amounting to 67 million AMD for each victim. This substantial and puzzling sum is now being demanded in a criminal case from the second president of Armenia and others involved.
In this context, the heir of Sona Mnatsakanyan, who was hit by a car in the motorcade accompanying the Prime Minister, has not received any financial compensation from the Armenian government or any other source. Furthermore, the material damage that should be compensated through criminal proceedings has not been restored in any way.
This was stated by lawyer Raffi Aslanyan. He noted, “Of course, this is of no importance to the victim's heir, Mnatsakan Mnatsakanyan, who is primarily concerned with holding those responsible for his daughter's death criminally liable and receiving harsh punishment. However, we should just record this for the reasonable conclusions of the public,” Aslanyan wrote.
