Major Accident on Yerevan-Sevan Highway: One Dead and Injured

On August 12, at 07:29, the crisis management center of the Kotayk regional rescue service received information about a traffic accident on the highway leading to Charentsavan, with reported injuries.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations Rescue Service reported that two fire-rescue teams from the regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene.

It has been determined that vehicles of the brands Nissan, Opel, and Fiat collided on the 34th km of the Yerevan-Sevan highway.

The rescuers disabled the vehicles, closed the valves of gas cylinders, secured the area, and approached the body of the deceased passenger of the Nissan to the body transport vehicle. The drivers of the Nissan and Opel, along with one passenger, were taken to the ambulance; the injured have been hospitalized in medical centers.
