Another Earthquake in Turkey: Strong Aftershocks Reported
At 10:26 AM local time today, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck in the Sindirgi district of Balıkesir province. According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of Turkey, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 11.67 km.
It is worth noting that after a 6.1 magnitude earthquake that occurred yesterday in one of the districts of Balıkesir province, three aftershocks were recorded with magnitudes of 4.6, 4.1, and 4.
Preliminary reports indicate that following the 6.1 magnitude earthquake, 16 buildings collapsed, resulting in 1 fatality and 29 injuries.
