Fighting Between Kurds and Soldiers Ongoing in Syria

Intense clashes have occurred between the Syrian army and two groups of the Kurdish formations known as the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the Tel Maaz area, located in eastern Aleppo. According to the Syrian Ministry of Defense, an attempt by the SDF to breach was met with fighting, resulting in the death of one soldier.

The escalation of the situation is linked to periodic shelling of army positions in the Manbij and Deir-Hafir regions, as well as the blockade of roads leading to Aleppo. The ministry stated, “Such actions by the Kurdish forces completely disregard the agreements previously reached with the Syrian government.”
