Armenia Knows the Conditions for the Final Signing of the Peace Agreement

All our conditions are fully reasonable, logical, and legal, stated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. During the negotiations, such a question has been raised multiple times. Our position has been that this should not be resolved in this manner. This is a question directly pertaining to us. It is a clear demand for our territorial integrity. Therefore, a peace agreement cannot be signed without this amendment. Our position has always been consistent, logical, and reasonable. And we have never wavered from our stance. Because we have never presented unrealistic and unacceptable conditions to Armenia. However, for certain reasons, our reasonable proposal regarding the dissolution of the Minsk Group has received a negative response.

Nevertheless, we have repeatedly tried to explain that given Armenia recognizes Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, considering that Armenia itself is already stating that Karabakh is already Azerbaijan, the de jure continuation of the Minsk Group is completely illogical. It has already lost its functional essence. And we will never allow it to be revived in any way or take on any other form,” the Azerbaijani president said. According to him, the joint call regarding the preliminary signing of the Peace Agreement and the dissolution of the Minsk Group removes the first obstacle.
