The Author of a National Tragedy Cannot Ensure Peace: Seyran Ohanyan

Seyran Ohanyan, the leader of the 'Armenia' parliamentary faction, responded to a question from Yerkir.am regarding the joint declaration signed during the trilateral meeting of Nikol Pashinyan, Donald Trump, and Ilham Aliyev at the White House on August 8.

‘The signed documents and the governmental propaganda that ascribes great importance to them have no relation to real peace. After the publication of the preliminarily signed agreement, we will address these issues in more detail. But for now, let us reassert that Nikol Pashinyan is violating the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the public-legal obligations undertaken by the government. It is possible to break free from this vicious cycle of imposed debts on our people, restore our national dignity, build a strong state, and bring about real peace. To achieve this, the reproduction of the current regime in Armenia must be excluded. The author of a national tragedy cannot ensure peace,’ Ohanyan stated.
