New Regulations for Drivers to Take Effect from September 1
Starting from September 1, drivers will no longer need to spend a long time on the road filling out various details in a mobile app after a traffic accident when completing a mutual statement. This is reported by the Bureau of Motor Insurers of Armenia.
According to the new regulations, drivers can use the ASWA mobile app to take pictures of vehicle damages and their relative positions at the scene without requiring internet connectivity. This will allow them to quickly clear the road, and within three hours, complete the remaining details in a safe place where internet is available.
The new regulation aims to avoid traffic congestion, enhance safety, and save time for road participants. The Motor Insurance Bureau advises drivers to download the ASWA app in advance so they can quickly utilize this feature when necessary.
“The initiative has been implemented to assist drivers in complying with the requirements set out in the amendments to the law that will take effect on September 1, which state that the road must be cleared within 20 minutes after an accident to avoid potential fines,” the statement reads.
