Large Fire in a Building in the Norashen Neighborhood: 50 Evacuated
On August 8, at 16:31, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a fire in the entrance balcony of a building in the Norashen neighborhood of Yerevan, where electrical wires were burning.
Three firefighting teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Yerevan Fire and Rescue Department, along with a ladder truck and an operational group from the National Crisis Management Center, were dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that the fire broke out on the 3rd and 4th floors of the building's entrance. Firefighters evacuated 50 residents from the building, and there were no reported injuries.
The fire was contained at 17:05 and extinguished by 17:13. Ten gas meters, household items, and the doors of one apartment and the entrance were burned on the 3rd and 4th floors.
