US Embassy in Armenia on Denials for Traveling to the United States

Traveling to the United States on a tourist visa is not permitted if the main purpose of the visit is to give birth there in order for the child to obtain US citizenship. This has been announced by the US Embassy in Armenia.

“The consular officer reviewing the visa application may deny the visa if there is reason to believe that you are traveling to the US for the purpose of giving birth,” the statement reads.
