India Responds Strongly to US Decisions

New Delhi has reacted sharply to the US decision to impose additional tariffs due to the purchase of Russian oil. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

The official statement from India's Ministry of External Affairs underscores that hydrocarbon purchases are made under market conditions and are driven by the necessity to ensure energy security for the country’s 1.4 billion citizens.

Indian authorities have labeled the new tariffs as “unjust, baseless, and unacceptable,” emphasizing that many countries operate similarly, guided by national interests. New Delhi has expressed its readiness to take all necessary measures to safeguard its economic sovereignty.
