Zelensky and Trump Discuss Sanctions Against Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that he had a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump. This is reported by RBC Ukraine.
"We are grateful to the President of the United States for his efforts toward fair and lasting peace. It is truly necessary to stop the killings as soon as possible, and we fully support that. President Trump was informed about Russia's attacks on Kyiv, our other cities, and communities. Of course, sanctions against Russia were also discussed. Their economy continues to decline, and therefore Moscow is closely monitoring this prospect and President Trump's determination. This can change much. We have also discussed joint European decisions that could help our defense. Currently, there are decisions from the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark for over one billion dollars worth of American weapons that Ukraine will receive," the publication states.
