Rain, Thunderstorms, and Hail Expected: Weather in Armenia
It has been reported that due to the influx of tropical warm air from the south, from July 31 to August 1-4, the Ararat Valley, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the valleys of Syunik, and Yerevan are expected to experience high temperatures. During the day between 16:00 and 17:00, temperatures may reach +38 to +40 degrees Celsius. Additionally, high fire danger is anticipated in these regions, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk over the next five days. This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
In Armenia, on July 31 and on August 1-2, a brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in some regions during the afternoon, with the possibility of hail. Dry weather is anticipated on August 3 and 4.
It is noted that during thunderstorms, wind gusts of 17-20 m/s are expected. The air temperature will not change significantly. In Yerevan, on July 31 and on the evenings of August 1-2, brief rain and thunderstorms are possible in certain areas of the city, with wind gusts of 16-19 m/s during the thunderstorms. Dry weather is also expected on August 3-4.
